Derbyshire County Council recently hosted an event bringing together apprentices and their line managers to celebrate the success of 67 employees who have recently completed their apprenticeships.
All achievers were internal staff, demonstrating strong commitment to developing their skills across a wide range of programmes, including Level 7 Strategic Management to Team Leading, Social Work, Food and Beverage, and Painter and Decorator roles.
Among those recognised from catering were Julie Wood, who completed her Team Leader Apprenticeship and Laura Falconer, who achieved her Food Technology in Industry Degree Apprenticeship.
With over 200 apprenticeships still underway, the programme continues to grow. In September, our new cohorts will include external candidates, with plans to support 6 Level 2 Catering Assistants and 4 Level 3 Catering Supervisors, working across our schools kitchens.
