Pupils Celebrate Women’s Euros with Special Theme Day Menus from Derbyshire Catering Service
Children across the County have been enjoying a taste of celebration thanks to special Get Ready for the Euros Theme Days, organised by Derbyshire Catering Service. The themed menus, inspired by the excitement of the tournament, gave pupils the chance to sample a range of new and exciting treats – many of which they helped to choose themselves.
As part of Derbyshire Catering Service’s commitment to involving pupils in shaping their school meals, children regularly take part in menu interviews to share their favourites and suggest new ideas. Based on their feedback, the special Women’s Euros menus featured brand-new
potato puffs and delicious ring doughnuts – both of which proved to be hugely popular.
“We love listening to what our pupils have to say,” said a spokesperson for Derbyshire Catering Service. “These theme days are a great way to bring a bit of fun into lunchtime while giving children a voice in what goes on their plates.”
The new potato puffs and ring doughnuts were such a hit that pupils are already asking when they’ll be back on the menu – and Derbyshire Catering Service is working hard to make sure their wishes are granted.

The Women’s Euros Theme Days were just one of many ways Derbyshire Catering Service continues to make school lunches something children look forward to. By listening to pupil voices and introducing fun, them
ed events, they're keeping mealtimes fresh, exciting, and delicious.
Keep an eye on upcoming menus – those much-loved potato puffs and ring doughnuts might be making a return soon!
