Our 2025 Christmas Round-Up: A Season of Joy, Teamwork and Togetherness

Duke of Norfolk

As we wrap up another festive season, we’re proud to look back on what has been one of our most memorable Christmas periods yet. Across our schools, our catering teams worked tirelessly to bring the magic of Christmas to life — and the results were truly incredible.

60,000 Traditional Christmas Dinners Served

This year, our teams produced over 60,000 traditional Christmas dinners, ensuring every child could enjoy a warm, festive meal with all the trimmings. From perfectly roasted turkey to fluffy roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables, the dedication, passion and teamwork from our staff shone through in every plate served.

The feedback from schools, pupils and families has been heart‑warming, and it’s a testament to the commitment of our catering colleagues who always go above and beyond during the busiest time of the year.

Creating Magical Moments for Children

Christmas in our schools is about much more than food — it’s about creating experiences children will remember. Our teams transformed dining halls into festive spaces filled with colour, cheer and excitement. Whether it was beautifully decorated serving areas, themed music, or festive outfits, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical.

Thank you to every colleague who helped bring joy, warmth and festive spirit to our pupils this year.

The Bauble Competition: Creativity at Its Finest

This year’s Christmas bauble competition was a huge success! We were absolutely amazed by the creativity, imagination and effort that pupils put into their entries. From sparkling hand‑painted designs to unique 3D creations, the response was bigger and better than ever.

Choosing winners was no easy task — every bauble told a story and showcased incredible talent. A huge thank you to all the pupils who entered, and to the staff who supported them.
